Santa Chupitos

By day, you’ll see bright coloured walls and shutters, but by night you will find a cocktail emporium to blow your senses. With classic cocktails and some unique mixes, Santo Chupitos on the corner of Parr Street impresses every taste bud. With a black board of cocktails, which go around the room, there’s always room for just one more – from the Bacon and Maple Old Fashioned, which is rendered in their onsite lab using the fresh and local ingredients to the signature Hand-Grenade. Make sure you try one of the Five Dollar shakes! Honestly, it’s an absolute winner!

If tequila is your tipple, head around the corner to the basement of El Bandito – it claims to be a sanctuary for novices and nobles alike!

Berry and Rye

Located on Berry Street, this is a tough one to find. With no entrance sign it is often word of mouth, which gets you to the right door…(and knocking on a few wrong doors in the process) Enjoy experimental and contemporary cocktails and those, which are created from a culinary perspective using fresh ingredients which are then twisted, shaken and stirred with a chilled and laid back atmosphere. The policy is seating only, but they don't take bookings. It's worth the knock though, but just be prepared to be told to come back in 30 minutes!

Jenny’s Bar

As you walk down Fenwick Street you could easily miss Jenny’s Bar. You’d be mistaken to think it was a Sea Food Restaurant alongside The Cornmarket pub, tucked away on a side street. But venture down the stairs and you’ll think you’ve time travelled back to a 1920’s New York bar. Round the corner from James Street Station, it’s a great place to end the evening; the décor offers an eclectic ambiance with plenty of green and gold velvet curtains, which open up to a number of booths. The bar boasts an amazing range of spirits as well as an extensive cocktail menu. Expect nothing less than amazing table service from the bar team who complete the scene in their long black aprons and cocktail shaking!

Jurgen Klopp hails Diogo Jota and Nathaniel Phillips after win over West Ham

Jurgen Klopp had hit back at critics of Mohamed Salah who suggested that the Liverpool star dived to win a penalty against West Ham.

David Moyes branded Salah fall under a tackle from Arthur Masuaku a 'dive' despite the defender making contact, with Liverpool winning the Premier League clash 2-1 at Anfield.

Salah picked himself up to slot home the spot-kick and equalise just before half-time and that allowed Liverpool to go on and win to extend their unbeaten home league run to a record-equalling 63 matches.

There has been criticism of Salah's actions from several pundits, ex-players and media commentators over the weekend but Klopp was at a loss to explain it.

Asked if he understood the general reaction the Reds boss said: 'No. I don't know what people need.

'What can I say? It was a foul. Pretty much everyone who saw the situation thought it (was a foul).
