Feather Falls Casino & Lodge was built by the Mooretown Rancheria of Maidu Indians in 1996. Since then, It has grown to become a stay and play destination with 800 slot machines, blackjack and poker, a microbrewery and buffet, two cocktail lounges, an onsite hotel and a campground all located in beautiful Northern California. Feather Falls Casino brewpub is first in the country. The Feather Falls Casino Brewery that opened last week is the first tribe-owned casino with a brewery in the U.S. The Casino is located in Oroville, California, about 20 minute drive southeast of Chico. The Mooretown Rancheria of Maidu Indians of California is a federally recognized tribe of Concow and Maidu people in Butte County.[1][2] Concow, or Konkow, people are the northwestern or foothill branch of the Maidu people, who traditionally spoke the Concow language[3]

Mooretown Rancheria is headquartered in Oroville, California.[4] The tribe is governed by a democratically elected, tribal council, and the current tribal chairperson is Ben Clark.[4]

The tribe owns and operates the Feather Falls Casino, Feather Falls Casino Brewing Company, The Lodge at Feather Falls Casino, KOA Kampground, Feather Falls Mini Mart, and the Feather Smoke Shop, all located in Oroville.[5]
